Problem Note 59037: Some non-ASCII data does not transcode correctly when using SAS/CONNECT® to transfer data between server and client
When you use SAS/CONNECT to transfer some non-ASCII data between the client and server, you might encounter the following problems:
- The data is truncated.
- The data turns into question marks.
These problems occur if one of the SAS® side clients or servers is configured for UTF-8 encoding but the other client or server is not configured for UTF-8 encoding.
To work around this issue, use the same SAS session encoding on both the server side and the client side.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
